Here is a gear list of the clothing, gear, & accessories we used on a winter hunt in New Zealand on the South Island.



The Axis Hybrid Jacket is designed for the active late season hunter, and is our most advanced jacket to date. It’s a true hybrid, combining fabrics and technologies to provide a garment that is more versatile and performs better in a wide range of temperature and moisture conditions. The Toray high stretch face fabric is bonded to a midweight fleece backer for added warmth, with strategic waterproof paneling in the hood, shoulders, and tops of arms. The fabric is soft and quiet, has incredible stretch, and provides protection from the elements while regulating body temperature.

Made for the mountains, these are known for their combination of comfort, durability, and simplicity. This is our best-selling and most versatile pant, ideal for use on hunts where a wide temperature range can be expected. The pant to own if you only own one.
ATTACK PANT

When the weather turns and snow starts to fall, more heat retention is needed to keep you in the field. This soft shell outer layer pant is constructed with a 4-way stretch Primeflex face fabric bonded to a micro-fleece backer. Zippered pockets securely store small accessible items, while a DWR coating protects you from daily moisture.

Featuring Nuyarn technology, the ULTRA Merino 145 Zip-Off Bottom is a versatile, lightweight base layer pant with an above the boot design and full length leg zippers which allow for easy on and off without removing your boots.

Our 2017 boot program goal was to provide a lineup of three boot styles to fit the needs of a wide range of hunters. We designed the Scarpa Rebel K GTX to land in the middle as a happy medium in-between the light and flexible R-Evolution and the full-featured Rebel Ultra climber. With the Rebel K you can expect just enough longitudinal stiffness for toe point climbing and crampon use in extreme conditions, while still appreciating some flex and rock while covering miles in more forgiving mountain terrain. The fully synthetic construction consists of cutting edge technical materials new to the boot market. The breathable side panels are built out of Super Fabric, an extremely durable synthetic featuring ceramic dots which improve durability in a portion of the boot typically subjected to high wear and tear. Scholler S-Tech fabric makes up the Sock-Fit XT tongue, a new bulk-reducing Scarpa design which increases the comfort and feel atop the foot and into the upper of the boot. Other noteworthy features include a full rubber rand, high quality Vibram Mulaz outsole, semi-automatic crampon compatibility, and an uninsulated Gore-Tex waterproof lining. The Rebel K was designed for those in search of an all-purpose boot to be used in a variety of demanding mountain terrains.

The NEW FOR 2017 G7 BR2500 Ballistic Rangefinder features improved ranging, pushing the effective range of the BR2500 to 2,500 yards, approaching capabilities previously only available in military equipment. The BR2500 is a complete ballistic solver for drop and wind with outputs available in MOA, MRAD and BDC or Shoot-To compensation. Press one button and the G7 BR2500 measures range, pressure, temperature, and incline to calculate a drop and wind solution based on your programmed Ballistic Coefficient (G1 or G7), Muzzle Velocity, Sight Height and Zero Range. Use the MOA or MRAD outputs with any scope’s adjustments to dial in the angular solution. In BDC mode, compatible with ballistic reticles and BDC turrets which are calibrated to a fixed temperature and altitude, the BR2 will calculate a corrected solution automatically adjusted for varying conditions - just dial your BDC turret to the displayed Shoot-To-Range. You will never need to swap out your turret again. This is the only ballistic rangefinder on the market capable of providing "Shoot To" outputs compatible with custom BDC And yardage turrets. The BR2500 Rangefinder carries an on-board ballistic solver for precise real-time drop and wind calculations out to 1400 yards. The BR2500 is accurate to the nearest 0.1 MOA! Using a device that only provides a preconfigured-table lookup solution in 1.0 MOA increments, without wind correction, is not an option for shooting at 1000 yards and beyond. For tough ranging conditions in rain, snow, or bright sunlight, selectable targeting modes allow you to detect and display the distance for Nearest, Farthest or Strongest targets out to the maximum range of 2500 yards.
